About Us
Our names are Bill and Lisa. Bill is retired after working in the electronics industry for over 35 years. Bill is also a very proud Navy Veteran that helped bring our troops home from Vietnam after the Vietnam war. Lisa provided State licensed day care in our home for over 20 years and has also put up with Bill for more years than we can remember. Both of our careers and hobbies now include providing a happy, healthy and thriving life to all of our family and pets.
We have four adult children and nine grandchildren. Hopefully our family will continue to grow and we will be blessed with many more grandchildren. After our children reached the end of their high school careers, we decided to follow our dreams to build a house on Lisa’s family land in Kansas. We decided to build our home overlooking many miles of pasture and farm fields. Our view out of our front door is about ten miles and the most amazing thing to look at everyday. Our fascination with the pug breed started in 2003 when a family friend of ours decided to retire from breeding and raising pugs. They had the most amazing looking and healthy pugs we had ever seen and to top it off most were the darkest apricot color in the entire country. Immediately, we decided to take a chance on a new life adventure. We have always been dog lovers and thought it would be an amazing adventure to take part in. From there, the rest is history. We have now been breeding and raising pugs for over 15 years. We have families come from all over the country and a few even from as far away as Sweden and Ireland come to pick up their pups. |
Our Facility
|
When we bought our original pugs from the previous owner, we had brought home a $30,000 pug condo. This building houses the adult pugs and offers them fresh water on demand. The building is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. Our adult dogs are fed high quality dog food that is portioned for feeds twice a day, morning and evening. The building is also equipped with indoor and outdoor runs which the dogs can freely use at any time. Since the time of our original purchase, we have added another kennel to help house our adult pugs. It has all of the amenities that are needed and enjoyed by our pugs.
When preparing for a new litter of puppies, the mother is brought into our whelping room two weeks before her calculated whelp date. This room actually ended up being the sun room we had built onto our house. This allows us to keep a close eye on the mother before, during, and after the birthing process. We are very hands on during the birthing process to make sure the mother and babies are not in distress. Much pride, joy, and pure pleasure comes from delivering healthy, happy and strong puppies. |
